Axi Tough toughened glass is a superior A grade safety glass manufactured in accordance with Australian standard AS/NZS2208. Axi Tough is manufactured by a process of heating the glass to in excess of 600°C and rapidly cooled by an extensive air treatment system. This results in the glass having strength nearly five times that of float glass.
Axi Tough is manufactured with a minimum surface compression stress of equal or greater than what is set out in BCA requirements.

Axi Tough cannot be cut or edgework processed after manufacture.
Tolerances of Toughened glass are set out in AS/NZS 2208.

Toughened glass allows for large clear spans of glass with minimum fixings. Axi Tough can withstand temperature variations of 250°C in a range of -70°C to +300°C, this basically means that toughened glass can be used in appliances, splashbacks and where thermal stress breakage is going to be an issue.
